Biden is elected as the 46th President

In the race for the 46th president of the United States, Joe Biden defeated President Donald Trump on Saturday. The huge win in Pennsylvania took Biden to the 270 Electoral College votes he needed to win, although Biden won by a large margin, his victory was an uncertainty for three days, as the sorting of mail-in votes delayed the process. He announced that he would seek to unify a nation that has been torn apart by social injustices and COVID 19 in which Trump did not do. More importantly unite the “red” and “blue” states that has torn the country apart.Biden has also planned to restore the virus-struck US economy, he plans to do so by managing the issue of unemployment through increasing manufacturing and making childcare more affordable. Additionally, Biden wants to invest in infrastructure and reduce wealth differences between different ethnic groups. announced that he will ensure access to free and regular testing to all Americans. Biden’s plan also claims to manage the seemingly uncontrollable pandemic by having the wearing of masks to be mandatory.
After losing the election, Trump remains silent and refuses to concede, he claims that there has been electoral fraud, but has not provided any evidence. Being the first time a Presidential candidate refuses to concede defeat, Trump keeps his baseless claim of electoral fraud. As Trump challenges the results of the election, he is also supported by Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell for his refusal to concede. Adding his support for Trump, he claims that Democrats have broken the law by taking away the election from Trump, nor does he back Trump’s claim of electoral fraud taking place. The supporters of Trump across the country are not only disappointed about the results, some are refusing to accept it. The outcome of embarrassment for Trump is coming more apparent. While the votes against Trump are dismissed as illegal by him, many news journals are claiming that he is denying reality by claiming that electoral fraud has led to the result.
After Trump’s continuous underestimation and minimization of the seriousness of the pandemic, has the country in distress, mean while Biden has been the beacon of hope in this pandemic. Hopefully Biden will unite this country and his plan works out for the best.
